IPad 2: AT&T, Verizon Models Reportedly in Production

This suggests Apple is still gearing up to launch a new iPad within the coming weeks -- most likely before the spring -- despite an internal shake-up because of CEO Steve Jobs' medical leave. New iPad in Production

Apple has apparently started production of its next-generation iPad, according to a report circulating online. The company’s newest tablet will be “thinner and lighter than the first model,” unnamed sources told the Wall Street Journal Feb. 9. If the account is accurate, the next iPad will also include a front-facing camera for video conferencing, more memory, “and a more powerful graphics processor.” AT&T and Verizon, which currently offer the iPhone, will carry the device.
